Cytological examination by conventional methods is reliable. However, each investigative method is fraught with error. The quality of the cytological preparation is directly dependent on the quality of the microscopic preparation. The better the preparation, the better and more reliable the diagnosis. And right now The quality of the preparation is higher when processed by the LBC method, which reduces the risk of false negatives finding (when the patient has cancer but the test is negative) to a minimum. The higher quality of the preparation results from the fact that the collected material is not processed as standard, as in conventional cytology, because the task of this methodology is not only to detect the presence of dysplastic - precancerous cells but also to screen for HPV (human papilloma virus) infection .
